FO Friday – Tettegouche

I finished my Tettegouche Tam in the time I’ve been missing in action, and in cheerful colours too 😊, but then forgot all about it. It’s one of the fifteen hat/tam/beanie patterns from Kate Davies’ Milarrochy Heids book, designed by Virginia Sattler-Reimer.

I just love this view; I could stare at it for eons.

The pattern was easy to follow, and there were no mishaps apart from the curling edges which I recognised on time and fixed (see my Ravelry page for details).

I didn’t stop at that though, then I decided to knit matching pair of finger-less gloves. Having no experience of making one, I just plugged in parts of Tettegouche motif as much as I could in another yet-to-be-knitted pattern, and made up the rest. As it turned out, it’s a bit short in the hand, but it’d have to do since my only finger-less pair is very near the end of its useful life.

To recap, yarn is a combination of Jamieson’s of Shetland (J of S) Spindrift and Jamieson’s  (JS) 2-ply jumper weight in the following colours – J & S 2-ply jumper weight (202,  9113 and 38 mix) and J of S Spindrift (231 Bracken, 423 Burnt Ochre) from stash.
