FO Friday – Teddy P

That is P, for Panda. Don’t ask me why the change and choice of name, because only my son can tell 😊. The first time he asked, “mum, where is Panda?” I was confused. Then he gave me the look and said, “my new teddy’s name is Panda”. So there we go, Teddy T is now officially Teddy P.

To recap, the pattern is from the book ‘Cuddly Amigurumi Toys by Marie-liis Lille, an advanced pattern according to rating given it, but I think a fearless beginner crocheter can make it with lots of help on YouTube. It was finished about two weeks ago, but I had to wait to photograph it in good lighting before posting.

Yarn is Phildar Noe for the body, and James C. Brett Cotton On for the outfit, both DK yarns and I used a 2.5mm hook. I really liked using the former as the stitches as crisp, but I should have used a smaller hook, so I’ll try that next time.

Here he is below.

Stepping out for a walk

And here he is, catching up with the news after that walk, phew 😃 . Now, where’s that cuppa?

I have since started Puppy P for his older brother, (things are made in pairs around here regardless of the age gap). For that I’m using James C Brett Cotton On, still on a 2.5mm hook because the yarn feels plumpier than Phildar Noe. Though I’d love the look of the latter, I want to see the result I’ll get using how Cotton On with a 2.5mm hook but I’ve ordered a size 2mm hook just in case. May be I should have order 2.25mm instead, well we’ll see.

That’s it for this Friday; I hope you all have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

☮️.

    1. I think I’m going to scour the internet for a pattern of Garfield. Surely, there must must yarn lovers who are Garfield lovers as well.

Naa, I’m not that creative in the kitchen. I’ll be taking things easy and knitting loads, while trying to play assistant chef with my ‘head chef’ husband 😏
